Apply For Accreditation
The STA accreditation window is now Closed.
The Standardbred Transition Alliance (STA) welcomes applications from groups of any size, in any part of the country, that are assisting Standardbreds. This process is intended to ensure horses are given care and training commensurate with their needs and that organizations caring for them follow sound, sustainable business practices.
To that end, accreditation involves a close review of areas pertaining to both equine care and business standards.

By E-Mail: The completed application with labeled attachments and all auxiliary forms can be sent to info@standardbredtransition.org If sending multiple emails, be sure to clearly label/number each and ask for a read-receipt or acknowledgment.
Or
By Postal Mail: All application materials must be postmarked by deadline. It’s recommended that you send all labeled materials and documents together in one package.

Review:
The STA review begins with processing the application and determining eligibility. After this phase is complete, site inspections will be scheduled, and any further information will be requested.
The STA Accreditation Committee will formally review each applicant organization during meetings in February 2025 and will issue any offers of accreditation soon thereafter.
Accreditation Forms
- To fill out a PDF electronically you must open the PDF using the free application Acrobat Reader. Download Acrobat Reader Free.
- Within Acrobat, open the PDF file.
- Click on the Fill & Sign tool in the right pane.
- Click on a text field, then type on the form to add text. Your data will be saved so you can use it again in the future, if desired.
- Click Sign in the toolbar at the top of the page.
- Draw or type your signature, or use an image.
- Click Apply and place the signature on your form.
- Click Share in the upper right corner to email your form.
- Enter info@standardbredtransition.org, then click Send to deliver your form and get notified when recipients view it.
